people displaced by violence
India: sanitation and water for those affected by a
Category 4 typhoon in the coastal region
Turkey: sanitation, water, and shelter for the
surge in refugees from Syria
Nepal: livelihood and food support for those
affected by flooding and landslides
Bangladesh: livelihood, water, and sanitation
support for those affected by flooding
Cameroon: improved nutrition for people displaced
by violence
Congo DPR: household items, food, and protection
provided for displaced people
The phenomenal initiative of humanitarian nature
allows CHAF to provide funding for necessities such as:
- Emergency food
- Sanitation and hygiene
- Shelter
- Emergency health care
- Water
Canada provides funds not only for international
humanitarian projects but also opens its borders for thousands of refugees and
protected persons every year. It aims to provide aid to 49,700 refugees and
protected persons. 4,500 humanitarian and other cases found their new home in
Canada in 2020.
Not only does Canada take on global humanitarian
projects but it ensures that its citizens are taken care of. Over 82 billion$
in financial assistance and support has been provided to all Canadian citizens
and permanent residents.
