The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a system for evaluating and ranking candidates who want to immigrate to Canada.

Are you missing the CRS cut-off mark? Here's how to do it:

Boost your points past the qualifying CRS score

·         Gain more work experience – Although you can earn more points by working in Canada, your work experience outside of Canada can count towards your transferability points. For up to 5 years of work experience in the maple leaf country, a candidate can earn bonus points

 

·         Apply through a PNP – Simply having a Provincial Nomination will earn you an additional 600 points. That's only half of what you're capable of earning. Because the majority of these provincial programmes are linked to Express Entry, the government is able to choose immigration profiles directly from the EE pool.

·         Get a Canadian job offer – An additional 200 points can be earned if you have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer. Make sure the job offer you're looking for is a full-time position with a minimum of one year of experience, and that the job opportunity is listed in skill type 0, level A, or B on the Canadian government's most recent in-demand occupation list.

 

·         Complete an education qualification – Completing another educational programme will not only earn you bonus points, but it will also add to your skill set. This will also assist you in preparing for your international professional career. Not to mention the lifelong memories and experiences you will have while studying in Canada.

·         Brush-up your language skills – You can earn bonus points in one of two ways: by learning a second language or by retaking your language exam. You may be able to claim points for both English and French if you are bilingual. If you're immigrating with your spouse or common-law partner, you can earn bonus points.
