WHAT IS AIP?
While working in
the Atlantic area, AIPP allows immigrant applicants with job offers to apply
for permanent residency in Canada. So far, the programme has been a huge
success. The Atlantic provinces have been progressively able to fill AIPP
immigration quotas since its inception. The program's popularity prompted
Canada's Immigration Minister to announce a quota increase in the summer of
2018, increasing the AIPP intake from 2,000 to 2,500 people.
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR THE AIP?

growing number of claims. To be eligible for AIPP, a skilled worker must
receive an offer of employment from someone who has been designated under the
programme. After submitting an application to AIPP, an employer is designated.
In addition, depending on the AIP stream through which you apply, you must meet
additional qualifying criteria in terms of work experience, language skills,

HOW DO YOU GET A JOB OFFER LETTER?
You must apply
for job openings with Atlantic Canadian firms who have been designated by AIPP
in order to receive a job offer. All four provinces, thankfully, have now
issued entire lists of authorized employers:

New Brunswick
3.
Prince Edward Island
4.
Newfoundland and Labrador
Applicants will
be eligible to begin the rest of the procedure once they have received an offer
of employment from a designated Atlantic employer. This will include working
with your business during the endorsement phase and putting together a
settlement package that outlines the specific settlement services the applicant
will receive once they arrive in Canada.
If the province
agrees, the individual will be nominated and will be eligible to apply for
permanent residency in Canada through the federal government. They will also be
permitted to start working in Canada with a work permit while their application
is being processed.
